These Edwards E2M275 direct drive PFPE rotary vane pumps are inherently compact and vibration free with an ultimate pressure of 7.7x10-4 Torr and a pumping speed of 206 CFM at 60 Hz. These Edwards E2M275 vacuum pumps offer a finger-proof coupling housing and totally enclosed fan-cooled motors, which provide excellent operator protection. The Edwards E2M275's give the best combination of performance, reliability, and cost in their class.

The Edwards E2M275 dual stage rotary vane mechanical vacuum pumps have an advanced oil lubrication circuit and are very reliable with accessories to match any application. Applications include use with refrigeration dehydration, brake line evacuation, thin film coating, vacuum distillation, freeze drying, space simulation and other chemical processes. Oil Rotary Vane Pumps Two-Stage

Rotary vane pumps are considered wet, positive displacement pumps, with the term ā€œwetā€ denoting that the gases being pumped are exposed to oil. The significant characteristic of oil sealed rotary vane (OSRV) pumps is the use of oil as a sealant and coolant.

Two-stage rotary vane vacuum pumps use a two stage compression offering high pumping speeds combined with low ultimate pressure. They are widely used in industrial, chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries.

Water-cooling required
Your pump is water cooled. We recommend that you use a thermostatic controlledĀ valve to regulate water flow. This will ensure optimum pump working temperature,Ā maintain economies in water use, and provide assistance with gas‑ballast protection.Ā The thermostatic control valve is an accessory, refer to Service, spares and accessoriesĀ on page 43.

Connect the pump to the cooling water
Connect the two 3/8 in. BSPP/T internally threaded connections to the cooling water supply. The maximum pressure that can be admitted to the cooling circuit is 3 bar and the recommended minimum cooling water supply flow rates at 20 °C are: E2M275 120 l h-1

Your pump will reach optimum operating temperature and will operate more efficientlyĀ if the temperature is controlled by the TCV300 thermostatic control valve.
